Fluffy Tails E-Commerce Store
The challenge
Fluffy Tails is a small pet supplies brand selling natural forage, treats and accessories for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small pets. Before working with us, they had no website at all. Every sale happened through Facebook, with orders taken via DMs and comments on posts.
That’s not a bad way to start a business, but it had clear limits. There was no product catalogue customers could browse at their own pace, no proper checkout, and the whole operation relied on manual admin that ate into the team’s time.
They’d actually tried to fix this already. Another agency had been brought in to build the site, but the project dragged on, missed its deadlines, and what did get delivered didn’t meet the standard Fluffy Tails needed. By the time they came to us, they were understandably fed up and just wanted it done properly.
Our approach
We started with the brand identity design. Fluffy Tails didn’t have a logo that worked for a proper e-commerce store, so we designed one from scratch. The brief was playful but trustworthy, something that felt warm and approachable without being childish. We landed on hand-drawn lettering in soft teal with pink rabbit and hamster characters that sit within the wordmark. It carries across well from packaging to screen, which was important given how much of their audience would find the store on mobile.

With the identity sorted, we moved on to the e-commerce website design. We built it on WooCommerce, keeping the design clean and letting the products do the talking. The colour palette draws from the brand: soft greens, gentle pinks, and warm neutrals that feel natural and approachable.
We restructured all their products into clear categories, grouped by type (forage, treats, accessories) and by pet, so a rabbit owner can find what they need without wading through hamster supplies. Each product page includes proper descriptions, ingredient breakdowns, feeding guidelines, and customer reviews. That level of detail matters to this audience. Small pet owners tend to research thoroughly before buying, especially when it comes to what they feed their animals.
The whole site was designed mobile-first. Most of Fluffy Tails’ traffic comes from social media links, which means phones. The mobile experience had to feel just as good as desktop.
What we delivered
- Brand identity and logo design (stacked and horizontal variations, plus packaging application)
- Custom e-commerce website storefront with warm, on-brand visuals
- Product categories restructured by pet type and product type
- Detailed product pages with ingredients, feeding guides, and reviews
- Mobile-first responsive web design tested across devices
- Simple content management so the team can add products and update stock independently

The results
Since Fluffy Tails had no website before, we can’t offer before-and-after numbers. What we can say is that within weeks of launch, orders started coming through the site instead of Facebook DMs. The team got their evenings back because they were no longer manually processing every sale. Customers could browse, choose, and pay without sending a message and waiting for a reply.
The store gave Fluffy Tails something they’d been missing: a proper online presence that matches the quality of their products. They now have a platform they can grow with, rather than one that holds them back.
“We’d been burned by another agency and were honestly dreading starting again. But the team made the whole process painless. The logo is exactly what we wanted, the website works properly, and we can actually manage it ourselves. Our customers keep telling us how easy it is to shop now.”
